Kingsway Pre School
We believe that children are precious and that each one is special. We want our children to feel safe, happy, valued and cared for. Our aim is to help each child gain confidence, to be motivated to learn, to develop their own interests, to relate well to others, and most of all, to have fun. Our methods are based on learning through play, hands-on experience and lots of conversation.
Staff
Our staff are friendly, approachable, caring, and dedicated. All are experienced, qualified or working towards qualification. Our supervisor is a qualified teacher.
Ratios
The adult to child ratio is well above the required minimum - usually we have one assistant to 4 for children under 3, & 1 to 6 for the over 3's. We often have a parent helper as well.
Sessions
The starting age is 2 yrs 6 months onwards and we run sessions on:
Monday: 12.30 to 3.00pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 9.15am to 11.45 am
Free Places
Free places are available for all three year olds in the term after their birthday. Usual fees are £5.50 per session.
Parents
We encourage the involvement of parents and are always ready to listen to thier concerns.
Activities
We aim to provide fun, interesting and exciting activities. These are based on the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and are planned to help the children make progress in the six areas of the Early Learning Goals. Plans are displayed on the notice board so that you know what your child will be learning.
Equipment
We have a wide range of good quality toys and equipment, which is changed around daily. The children can make their own choices.
